The field of adult education presents its own set of obstacles. Motivation can be an obstacle for adult learners, especially those who are used to traditional educational methods.

What is the solution? Gamification. By incorporating games into learning, we can enhance the educational process to make it engaging and effective.

The question then arises: How can games effectively educate adults? The key is to understand how our brain assimilates information. Playing a game stimulates various cognitive processes within our mind. It serves as a continuous source of motivation, and the sense of accomplishment that comes from playing reinforces the learning process.

Playing a game fosters the development of problem-solving skills and the ability to make good decisions. Participants are forced to analyse various strategies to progress in the game, which leads them to evaluate different options and anticipate the outcomes of their actions.

This also makes them develop these skills to face the real world, and learn to solve problems and make decisions.

One of the key things about gamification is teamwork, which brings adults together, exchanging knowledge and leveraging their individual experiences to achieve common goals.

However, gamification is not only about entertainment, it is also about adults acquiring digital skills to implement in their daily routines. Digital games enhance these skills.

In short, gamification is the key for adults to realise their potential in their quest for knowledge and personal development.
